WARRANTY & TERMS
We believe in being clear about how jewelry care and service requests are evaluated. The following two categories help distinguish ordinary use from serious damage.
Incidental Wear and Tear: Minor changes that can develop through normal use, such as surface scratches, small dents, gradual rhodium fading, minor band reshaping or a prong that needs tightening. Whether a chipped or missing stone is covered depends on the written warranty and the cause of the damage.
Purposeful or Excessive Damage: Serious damage caused by improper care, a hard impact, crushing, severe bending, a broken head or prong, chemical exposure, unauthorized repair or another event that may require substantial rebuilding or a complete recast. To reduce avoidable damage, remove fine jewelry before sleeping, exercising, showering, swimming, sports, manual work or using cleaning chemicals.
Engraving Disclaimer: JOMOMO may decline or modify an engraving request containing hateful, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate material.
Custom Made-to-Order Pieces — Consumer Notice
Custom and made-to-order pieces are produced to the specifications approved for an individual order. Cancellation, return and withdrawal rights may differ from those that apply to standard stock goods. Any limitation must comply with the mandatory consumer rights in the buyer’s location and does not remove rights relating to goods that are faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.
Hold & Deposit Agreement
This section outlines the proposed terms under which JOMOMO may reserve an eligible in-stock stone or jewelry item for a client. The final signed invoice or hold agreement controls if it states different terms.
By submitting a deposit, the client acknowledges the confirmed item, amount, hold period and conditions shown on the written agreement.
1. Hold Periods
- An eligible in-stock item may receive a complimentary hold of 24–48 hours.
- An item sourced specifically for one client may not qualify for a complimentary hold.
- A deposit of 20% may extend an approved hold:
- up to 7 days for a standard item; or
- up to 14 days for a high-value item, at the company’s discretion.
2. Deposit Terms
- If the purchase is completed, the accepted deposit is applied toward the final balance.
- If the client chooses not to proceed, any permitted refund may be reduced by a $50 administrative or restocking charge.
- If the agreed hold expires without a decision, the agreement may provide that some or all of the deposit becomes non-refundable store credit.
- Store credit does not automatically extend or restart the original hold.
3. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to provide accurate contact information and communicate a purchase decision within the confirmed hold period.
4. Company Discretion
JOMOMO may decline, limit or extend a hold where permitted, taking into account availability, demand, item value and supplier requirements. Any paid reservation should be confirmed in writing.
Our Warranty Over Time
Phase One: 12-Month Limited Service Period
During the first 12 months after the original purchaser receives the piece, eligible workmanship or incidental service items described in the confirmed warranty may be repaired without a labor markup. Purposeful or excessive damage, loss, theft, misuse and excluded stones or components are not automatically covered.
Phase Two: Repairs at Cost
After the initial service period, an eligible repair may be offered at the company’s direct service cost. “At cost” should mean the amount required to complete the approved work, based on the inspection and written estimate, without an additional repair profit margin.
Work performed by an unauthorized outside jeweler may void part or all of the warranty because JOMOMO cannot verify another party’s workmanship. Contact hello@example.com before arranging outside work.
Unless the written warranty says otherwise, coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferred automatically when a piece is resold or gifted.
